My friend Laura pointed this site, Woot.com, out to me a few months ago. Everyday they have a different special on mostly tech gadgets. I just looked today and they have a 8GB Kingston SDHC flash card going for $11. Great price. They also have funny little descriptions of the items. Check them out every day for great deals on things that you didn’t even know you wanted.

I am sure that you have all seen photos with either a person or an product with a pure white background. Looks pretty simple doesn’t it? That is until you try it. Too much or too little light on the background can reek havoc on your final photo. Not to mention all of the light reflecting off of a white background. Zack Arias has a good article with all of the tips, tools and techniques of getting that perfect shot.

Walking. Fun and good for you. I can’t think of a better way to start off getting back into shape. It is usually something that people plan to do with their new years resolutions. Problem with that is that it is usually pretty cold around this time of year in the north. This leads people into the gym and treadmills. If this is the case for you, check out this interesting article on some of the mistakes people make when walking. Correct a few and get an even better workout. Fortunately for me, it is pretty nice in Doha this time of year so walking is a great activity for me.
Let’s get going.

My first customizable homepage was on Yahoo many years back. I then switched to Netvibes. You can subscribe to different rss feeds, add widgets for weather, your email, social networks and other such things. It makes a good place to start off you day. Everything that you need all in one place. I always had a private profile, but just recently started a public profile (my public profile). It doesn’t have everything that my private page does, but it is does give you a place to keep up will what my friends, my favorite blogs, and I are up to. If you need one place to keep everything organized, check out Netvibes.
